The TTL-232-1 is a port powered RS232 to TTL converter, which can be used to convert any standard RS232C port to a 5V DC TTL-compatible levels and vice versa. The unit is powered from the RS232 data line. It also supports data direction auto-turnaround, therefore, no external power or flow control is required.

TX is the TTL Output and RX is the TTL Input
DO NOT connect external power to +5V pin, it is for measurement only. The unit will function correctly only when the voltage is around +5V
