The USB-232-1 is a port powered USB to RS232 serial converter that can be used to convert any standard USB port (USB 2.0 - backward compatible) into a RS-232C serial port.

The unit uses the latest FTDI chipset and is fully compatible with Windows Vista / XP / Server2003 / 2000 / 98 9 (32-bit and 64-bit), Win CE, Mac 8.6 / 9.x / 10.x, and Linux.
